Rain delayed all programs at Jennerstown Speedway located in Western Pennsylvania but fortunately
Blair/Bedford County driver Wade Champeno got all his practice sessions, heat race, and his feature in for the night.
Dusty Rhoads and Wade checked out on the entire feild during the heat race running bumper to bumper where Wade came across
the line in second.
The feature event went caution free with Snooky Williams jumping
out to the lead. Wade Started 3rd and followed Snooky past the second place car of Mark Rend. Wade looked
high and low to get around Snooky. The high lane wasn't working though and the bottom lane was well protected by the
veteran driver of Snooky Williams. Wade was bumper to bumper with snooky the entire race almost pushing him around the
track but no lane opened up and Wade came across the line in second.
"I was much faster then snooky but I couldn't get underneath
him to make a move. I tried moving up a lane and the car just wouldn't grip. Everytime I tried moving
up a lane I would drop back a car length and loose momentum. So I had to just do what everyone else in our class was
doing, which was play follow the leader. If there would have been a caution I could have gotten around him but
we went caution free." Remarked the young driver. "Hopefully we will get them next weekend. I am sure
this weekend I will get the win." Remarked Champeno.
