Tri-County Rained Out
The team was actually happy with the unfortunate rainout. We made it to the track late do to miss fortune on the
trip down and because of the final preparation of the race vehicle took longer then expected. The Team started off really
off the pace and had a oil leak which kept the team from tuning the car. We showed up short handed because of lack of
funds but will not make that mistake again.
The team did not have time to test the car prior to this race and this was the first time the racecar had set foot on
a track. We managed to drop the lap times 4 tenths of a second with the few times the car was able to make the track
and we were only 7 tenths off the pace and still had a ton of adjustment to go with the car. We were now able to locate
the problem which kept the car from making the center of the corner accurately which was to much camber gain in the right
front tire which now will be adjusted and set before the next event. So we didn't get to run the event but got a good
feel for how ASA operates which was a major plus. We also are going to have time to test the car and better dail tune
it before the next event. Stay tuned for further updates and thanks for visiting champenoracing.com.
